La Roux: Progress 4

La Roux is coming along! Now there’s shading, textures and more details. Still toying with the overall clothing colours. I’d like her look strong and stoic like a music goddess. Too cheesy? Oh well…

La Roux: Progress 3

Now experimenting with shades and makeup for Elly. I want to give her a golden / bronze sheen to match the fierceness of “Bulletproof”. A lil high fashion never hurt anyone!

La Roux: Progress 2

She’s coming along! La Roux’s Elly is now bathed in a golden / bronze colour palette. Not 100% on exact colours yet as I tend to experiment and change it as details and textures get added. I did make sure to pay homage to one of my fave accessories on her: the over-sized cameo!

La Roux: Progress 1

It’s been awhile since I started the La Roux sketch but finally, progress! It wouldn’t be complete without Elly’s famous mane, so I wanted to make sure it made only the right waves. So, to celebrate my new found passion, I created this blooming flower of shoes! [...]

Food Girls Original Sketches

I’ve had some inquiries about what the Food Girls look like as sketches, so here they are! Typically I start with an idea of how the girl will look, hairstyles, pose, etc and make a quick rough in my sketchbook. Then I surf the net for inspiration and collect reference images of colour, food, rendering [...]

“Girls Night Out” in the making

Hi dee ho! I’ve been working on some girly and fashionable illustrations for my latest promo campaign. I based this series on my love for fashion, dressing up and girls’ night outs. It’s inspired by actual events from a recent fabulous girls night out I had! This is an early look at the style and [...]
