The convention runs July 22 – 25, 2010 at 111 W. Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101. I personally won’t be able to attend but hopefully next year!

Girls Drawin Girls has an upcoming show titled Sugar & Spice: Volume III, featuring dessert-themed pin-up art. I have some Food Girls prints for sale at the show so come on down if ya can!

The show runs from July 9 to 31, 2010 at Gallery 839, 1105 N. Hollywood Way, Burbank, CA.

The Gelato Cup

Toro magazine (who did an interview with me last year) needed an image for an upcoming fundraiser. They kindly remembered my Ice Cream girl and now she’s a poster girl as well!

The event is the Gelato Cup, a benefit for prostate cancer and takes place July 22, 2010. Check out their website for details.

You didn’t think that was all for Shoe Love, did ya? Well it’s a two-parter! Yes, I realized I liked the background so much I turned it into a pattern on its own. Now it feels like I’m diving into a world of fabulous footwear!

Woot, “Shoe Love” is now complete! It was a fantastic journey in fantasy land as I indulged in illustrating oxfords, heels, wedges, sandals, peep toes, and boots – oh my! Here’s a look at the final and a close-up. Love using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop together, I experimented quite a bit and this is the end result.

Yup, I’m still in fantasy shoes land. Here’s a sneak close-up at some of the shoes in its detailed glory. It’s so easy to get carried away embellishing and texturizing in suede, studs, etc but I’ve set a deadline for end of this week / early next week. Tune in next week to see the grand reveal!

I’m now part of the amazing collective Girls Drawin Girls! Founded by a group of talented ladies from L.A., the collective does what the name says. Next stop, pin-up girl fantasy land! Check out my page on their site.

As well, three of my Food Girls prints – Ice Cream, Waffle and Lollipop – will be at the merch table in the group show Sugar & Spice: Volume III. The show takes place at Gallery 839 located in Burbank, CA. Opening night is Friday July 9 (7pm – 11pm) and runs till July 31, 2010.

Hope you can make it to savor some live burlesque dancing and dessert-themed yummy ladies!

Another look at “Shoes” progress. I made the flower bloom more fully, added a few more legs and am now toying with stockings and shoe details. So far so good! Sigh, the addictive power of shoes…can’t get enough!

I’ve been oh-so-in love with shoes lately. Heels, wedges, sandals, flats – I love’ em all! They are the perfect accessory, the finishing touch, the icing on the cake, the – well, you get the idea – of a perfect outfit. So, to celebrate my new found passion, I created this blooming flower of shoes! This is an early look at the composition, shoe styles and each leg will have a different pattern / stocking / colour as well.
